THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Lumeijstraat is a quiet one-way street in the most charming part of De Baarsjes, right on the border with Oud-West. The neighborhood feels friendly and village-like — everyone says hello, and almost every year there’s a cheerful street party. Within minutes you can walk or cycle to the Ten Katemarkt, De Hallen, or the Jordaan. There are also plenty of cozy coffee spots, cafés, and restaurants nearby.
For peace and greenery, Erasmuspark and Rembrandtpark are close by, and the A10 ring road is only a few minutes away. Fun fact: in both 2021–2022 and 2024, Lumeijstraat was voted the cleanest street in De Baarsjes — something the neighborhood is very proud of!
